On
Monday 20th March, 2018 I was visited at PT Agility International Indonesia in Pondok
Ungu, Bekasi. PT Agility is one of the most competitive logistics companies in
the world. PT Agility International is a 3PL (Third Party Logistics) company. Until now Agility has been handling various
products. Starting from products Nike, Herbal Life, Rebook, MAP, Drugs,
Automotive and much more.
On the first time we created a
group to get around in the agility warehouse.
In PT Agility
International we get an explanation of the inbound and outbound processes.
Inbound process in the agility warehouse is checking goods not manually but by
using RF (Radio Frequency) which is connected directly to computer system in
warehouse, after the goods are GR (Good Receiving) then goods are put into the
shelf according to the placement already arranged by WMS (Warehouse Management
System).
After
that done the process of picking or the process of preparation of goods in
order to order letters are grouped in 1 carton. Goods to be picked must be
items listed on the pick up ticket. After selecting finished consul / route
grouping of goods according to delivery route. After the grouping in each
delivery route, then done QC (Quality Control) is checking the goods or goods
by scanning the barcode in the goods. The rest of the system will refuse if the
scanned barcode does not match the company's order. After the QC (Quality
Control) process is completed then the hand lading process is a process where
each valet will be placed carton that will be ready to be sent with the route and
delivery schedule.
And
the next is the Outbound process, which is the process that starts from order
processing in the process by making TMR (Tranfer Manifest Report). In making 1
TMR is for 1 shipping route. And then routing per-truck is placed in the
staging area. After the document is complete, the goods are loaded into the
truck according to the delivery route. After delivery, then done POD (Proof of
delivery) is evidence of the delivery of the goods.
In
Nike brand before distributing, the warehouse staff will be re-check the goods
to be shipped. If any items are damaged then the Staff will immediately confirm
to the Nike and nike implements a disposal system where goods that will not be
marketed will be destroyed.
- agility warehouse apply kaizen for example there is a flag on each block indicating the tidiness level the red flag symbolizes that it is still messy so the green flag means already neat
- agility has a PLB warehouse
- agility has cold storage to save herbalife and pharmaceutical products such as medicines
